First Week!!

We had a great first week in 4th grade!! 

We got to know each other and made new friends through several community building activities. We have logged in to our devices and next we will start to work in several programs such as Night Zookeeper, PADLET, and Quizziz. We are establishing our routines and expectations. I would love to see Thinking Journals [front covers only] decorated by Monday. I will seal them here at school. It would be great if students had their personal supplies by Monday as well. We can always use additional supplies of black dry erase markers and pencils that we share as a class. We are good on Kleenex for now but I'll let you know when we need more.

Thank you to those who have emailed me so I can add them to our Class Email Contact List. Remember to bookmark our WEBSITE and sign up to receive BLOG UPDATES in the little spot to the right . My website has been moved to the "New" Google Sites and has a few glitches in it still :( The Parent Letter you received a paper copy of on Wednesday is the same as the one online [which is denying access]. A work in progress, they say it is improved from old sites [Ha, ha!]

The Final Post...

It has been a pleasure working with your child, and YOU!, this year.  

I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by!!  The process of transforming dependent, shy, little 3rd graders into independent, resourceful & successful 4th graders is an amazing thing to be a part of.  

I am so proud and thankful to have been a part of their lives this year.

I wish you all the best in the coming years.  

Please know what a special place this class holds in my heart.

Summer Reading & Math Practice

In effort to keep our kids learning over the summer break, the district  has created a letter that makes it easy for parents and students to view student's Spring MAP RIT scores for Reading and mathematics and includes their scores in the four math goal areas and reading Lexile level. The website links to Khan Academy and the "Your Reading Path" (recommends books aligned to their RIT scores) website are provided in the report. This is a good opportunity for students to take the information to the public library and know specifically which books to find that are at their reading level.  

*Letters will be handed out with Report Cards at end of day today.

June 5- Reading Celebration (Grade 1-2, 8:30am. Grade 3-5, 9:30am)

June 6- Field Day- 9:00- 11:00- Volunteers needed to help run fun run:)

June 7- Honor Roll Assembly - Grades 4 and 5 (1:15-2:15 pm)

June 8- Perfect Attendance (8:30-9:30 am)

June 8- Last Day of School- Minimum Day (11:35 K, 11:55 1-5)
