Grade Book Closing
My grade book will close Thursday, November 7th. Friday, November 8th is NO SCHOOL for kids so teachers can prepare Report Cards. Be sure to have all absent or retake work turned in before Thursday.
Friday PJ Day / Comfy Clothes
The day after Halloween is traditionally Pajama/Comfy Clothes Day at Mundy. Feel free to let kids come to school in pajamas [if they wish] on Friday. They should still have appropriate shoes for recess & PE.

Report Card Conferences
Report Card Conferences will be held on the afternoons of minimum days during the week of November 18th to 22nd. These are Student led conferences that your child should attend with you so that they can show you their work. Please be sure to put your CHILD'S NAME in the COMMENT section. I look forward to discussing your child's progress with you.

Linked below is the Halloween Party Sign Up Genius. If you haven't already done so, please see if there is something you can help with. THANK YOU!!
We will start the party before lunch. The parade will begin at 1:20--right after lunch--and then the party to finish up after the parade. Should be FUN!!
Mr. Kubiak has mentioned it a few times, but remember this regarding costumes:
No Blood, Gore, Weapons, or masks.

Thank you parents for making our Fun Run a success! The kids had a great time and earned more than $117 per lap as a class for our school. That's AMAZING! This past week they earned some extra recess, PJ Day, a trip to the park, and a Breakout Box challenge we will do next week! They deserve it. Thank you for supporting our school.

PROGRESS REPORTS on 10/22
Your child's Progress Report will be available starting Tuesday, 10/22 on Illuminate. No Progress Reports will be sent home on paper. You will also have access to my online grade book to see grades your child received on each assignment. You will be able to see missing assignments and/or work that needed more attention. The grade book has closed for this period so there are no more retakes. You can go to Google Classroom to view comments I made on your student's work. Your child has 4 weeks to improve before Report Cards. Please be supportive and remember this is 4th grade "Boot Camp." They are getting it, but some of their early marks may reflect them reaching up to the rigor level we expect at 4th.
MAP Scores Coming Home Today
- Achievement = how well your child has learned skills in a subject compared to similar students nationwide.
- Growth = your child's personal progress over the year.

Progress Reports Online 10/18/19
The Progress Reports window opens Friday,
October 18th
What does that mean??
Progress Reports and Report Cards will only be available online through Illuminate. On Oct. 18th, you will gain access to your child's Progress Report. You will be able to check on your child's progress at this point in the trimester. In order to access your child's Progress Report & Report Card, you will need to set up your Parent Portal account through Illuminate...the same one as last year.

Upcoming STEAM Activity
Our next STEAM activity is Friday, October 11th at 1:15.
Ms. Mascetti and I are looking for donations of $5.00 gift cards to Walmart and/or Target to purchase STEAM supplies for this activity.
If you are able to donate a gift card we would greatly appreciate it.
Please send those in by Tuesday, October 8th so we have time to shop.

The district updated their website this week. It looks great, and has a lot of great resources, but my class website is no longer linked to my page. OH NOOO!!!!!
Students in my class have all "bookmarked" my site on their Chromebooks for easy access to what they need in class. You might want to do the same. The link to my website is also always available on this BLOG [in the list of info. on the right].
