COLOMA ~ CODS

You should have received a green information form about the field trip to Coloma in March. The information meeting will be on Wednesday, September 6th, 2018 at 5:00 pm in room 504.

Birthday Treats

This year we are not allowing cupcakes, cookies, or any sweet treats for student birthdays or for rewards. While this may seem like a drastic change from previous years, it follows the school district guidelines for healthy foods. There are a lot of great alternatives...maybe even donating a book in honor of his/her birthday to the classroom library.  Books are less expensive than cupcakes, anyway!

We will be collecting coins and money to help victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. It's through the Rotary Club, and Ms. Vermes is the contact person. We will have an envelope in the class where students can deposit their spare change. Thanks for all the help!

Ukelele Club

Ukulele Club will start  Wednesday. Sept. 13th in  room 501[Mrs. Story]. We are still checking on times but most likely 2:30-3:30. Have interested kids see Mrs. Story after school to sign up.
From Mrs. Story: This is a fun group. I am not a music teacher but I love the ukulele and  will show the kids a few chords and simple songs. We have a lot of fun. I'd like to limit to 15 kids. It really helps if they bring their own uke and tuner, but it is not required. I have a few loaners they can use in class.
