CAASPP TESTING!!!

                          

All 4th grade classrooms will be taking the CAASPP assessments the first two weeks of May.  We will be testing May 2-5 and May 9-12.  Please make every attempt to have your child in class those days.  Please do not schedule doctor's appointments, or trips, during this time.  Retakes/make-ups are hard since students would be pulled out of regular instruction to test. Thanks!!

Book Report

I have sent home the next Book Report. It is due May 5th. Students may choose between an Historical Fiction, an Award Winner , or a Sports Fiction [not biography or non-fiction] book . They may choose one of the following to present their Book Report: a Google Presentation, a Cereal Box, or a Fancy Folders. Directions will be available in class once they have selected their book. Books must be at least 100 pages and pre-approved by me before they begin.  Today I went over each possible project so that your child knows what each one involves.  Paper copies are available in class once they make a decision.  I also posted the directions to each project on my website.

PATHWAYS TO THE FUTURE - SPONSORSHIP DEADLINE, FRIDAY MAY 12TH !!! We have extended the Pathways to the Future Sponsorship deadline to Friday, May 12th! There has been additional buzz recently about this opportunity, and families interested in making a donation and leaving there history mark on our awesome campus! As the plan all along was to install the bricks over the summer months, it made sense to extend the deadline to May 12th. Book Fair Starts Monday!!!

The Buy One Get One book fair will run from April 3 to April 7.  The book fair will ONLY be open during lunch recess and after school.  It's buy one, get one free.

Reminders from the MCA

MUNDY'S GOT TALENT! AUDITIONS AFTER SCHOOL 3/28 - 3/30 This years Talent Show will be held on Friday, April 7th in the MPR! Auditions will be taking place for those who signed up, this coming Tuesday 3/28 - Thursday 3/30, after school in the MPR. Audition time slots were scheduled to be sent home with your child the last day before spring break. However with minimum school days prior to break, some of the audition time slips may be making there way home tomorrow. If your child has not received a scheduled audition time slot by tomorrow afternoon AFTER SCHOOL, please email the MCA at: neldamundymca@gmail.com to confirm your child's audition time.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Spring Break!  Now it's "Crunch Time", with CAASP & MAP testing coming up in about a month! Even though Spring Fever sets in, it's really important for students to be in class on time every day, unless they are sick.
