Poetry Project
Directions for the Poetry Project came home on Wednesday [5/3]. Students are to memorize 15 lines of poetry by May 25th. This can be one poem of 15 [or more] lines or several smaller ones that add up to 15. On day of presentation, students need to provide me with a copy of the poem [so I can prompt them]. They need to state the poem's title and author. Poems can be found on the internet, at the library, and I also have several poetry books in my classroom. Grading is on fluency and accuracy of oral presentation. They can do their presentation anytime on or before May 25th.

Siena has picked her poem. She is enjoying the material and this project has added yet another layer to her learning this year. We have enjoyed listening to her practice and we think you will enjoy listening to her perform ;)
